Hello, there! I have missed you all. I have lots of things to share with you in today’s post – a bit of catching up and checking in.
My husband and I just got back from three days in beautiful, sunny Carmel. We were sent to review an inn in Carmel-by-the-Sea and a ranch and winery in Carmel Valley. We saw some beautiful things, drank some great wine, met some fun people and ate lots of fantastic food. What a great break from our routines!
Part of our trip included an overnight group media event, my first ever. We had the chance to meet some new bloggers and travel writers. It was such fun! I love meeting new people and hope to partake in a group media event again sometime.
I particularly enjoyed meeting Las Vegas travel bloggers, Esther and Jacob of Local Adventurer, and Omaha lifestyle blogger, Erin of Her Heartland Soul and her friend, Erica (pictured with us below). I will be telling you about our Carmel getaway in future posts coming soon.
Last Friday, I had the honor of being invited to see my dear friend, Malia of Style by Malia, receive the Spirit of Sonoma award for her contribution to local charities and her work in the Sonoma County community.
I was thrilled to be with such a fun group of women, sharing in Malia’s success. I am so proud to call Malia my friend. She is a successful business woman, a supportive friend and a lot of fun to be around.
Congratulations, Malia! You are truly an inspiration.
Style by Malia is offering local readers a special for the holidays. And since Malia is also a Woman in Business, use code WOMENINBUSINESS to claim your offer. Let Malia take the guesswork out of dressing for your holidays events!
Speaking of Women in Business, tomorrow I will have the the third of four Women in Business: Holiday Gift Guides up.
I’m excited to reveal the next businesses and tell you about their special offers.
Don’t forget there are still great deals to be had while supporting small women-owned businesses.
Is anyone else feeling a little overwhelmed this time of year?
I have 300 holiday cards to address and mail (by hand!) and have only purchased two gifts so far. I am trying not let those facts cause me anxiety – because really, there are far bigger problems in the world – and just enjoy the holiday season by focusing on the fun stuff.
Tomorrow, we are heading to Sonoma for our family’s 15th annual French Fry, Candy Night. In case you have no idea what the heck that is, you can read about it in this post. Happy Holidays!
Make it a rich and stress-free day!
